Oliver is a highly versatile and experienced composer – classically trained, with a B.Sc. in music from City University, London, he is also in demand as a session pianist and keyboard player. Live performances have ranged from John Cage at the ICA to The Chemical Brothers across the USA; from Debussy at the Purcell Room to the dance tent at Glastonbury.
As a session musician and live performer for various bands, including Death In Vegas, he toured and performed alongside artists such as Daft Punk, Primal Scream and Sneaker Pimps, and at all the major rock and pop festivals in the UK and Europe. He has played for several BBC Radio sessions, and on TV shows in Paris, Cologne and New York. His session work includes several TV dramas, documentaries, podcasts and production music albums at studios such as Air Edel, CTS, Snake Ranch and Angel.
He spent several years working in Soho and Camden writing music for advertising and as a studio engineer, and has been writing production music for KPM / EMI / Warner Chappell / BMG / Score / Music House and others since 1997, with over 700 tracks published to date. In addition to Oliver's composition work for the media, he has released several EPs and singles on independent labels which have received airplay from Radio 3 (Mixing It) to Radio 1 (John Peel), and music press praise from Jockey Slut to The Wire.
Due for release Q4 2026: 10 tracks – a follow-up to the original album released in 2016.
Track Exploring Depths from The Life Scientific featured in Roblox game Mermaid Isle.
Tracks Drifting Away and Slow Swirls featured on Spotify playlist Total Relaxation.
Intricate Atmospheres 2 – 10 tracks – “…dark, cold themes and atmospheres which use delicate organic patterns and textures to create chilling, intense and anxious moods. Companion album to SCORE253, but with a shadier intent.”
I am always looking to forge creative partnerships with directors, advertising agencies, film makers and music publishers who are looking for distinctive and dynamic music.
